Menu Plan Monday ~ 9/19/11

Photobucket

I NEVER thought I would hear these words come out of my mouth…and definitely not something I would mean to say! WOW! I think I’m in shock! :) But, besides that, I am menu planning – and honestly having kind of a difficult time of it. Buttttt…I’m going to try! So, here we go. My first thought is to try something with a “daily plan” then work from there so…

Breakfast:
Mondays: Muffins
Tuesdays: “Denny’s Breakfast” = pancakes, eggs and bacon or sausage
Wednesdays: Bread item (like crescents, biscuits, etc)
Thursdays: Muffins
Fridays: Needs to be quick & easy (or already made)
Saturdays: Needs to be quick & easy (or already made)
Sundays: Oatmeal / Granola

Supper:
Mondays: Pasta / Chicken
Tuesdays: Taco type / Beef
Wednesdays: we eat at meeting and it’s provided by my mil – YAY!
Thursdays: Casserole
Fridays: Crockpot
Saturdays: Leftovers
Sundays: Pizza

So, for this week, using the above thoughts…

Monday
Breakfast: Maple Cornmeal Muffins (from Azure Standard catalog pg. 57)
Supper: Quick & Easy Ranch Chicken with Special-Twice Baked Potatoes and green beans

Tuesday
Breakfast: “Denny’s Breakfast” (which means pancakes, bacon, eggs)
Supper: Meatball Hash Brown Bake

Wednesday
Breakfast: Jelly toast
Supper: (MIL out of town so need to plan something) Pizza Quesadillas

Thursday
Breakfast: Apple Breakfast Bars (from Azure Standard cookbook, pg 59)
Supper: Chicken Casserole (from Azure Standard cookbook, pg 126)

Friday
Breakfast: crescent rolls
Supper: Crock pot meat, potato, carrot

Saturday
Breakfast: Grab Whatever :)
Supper: Leftovers

Sunday
Breakfast: Baked Oatmeal (from Azure Standard cookbook, pg 66)
Supper: Pizza

Wish us luck – and pray for us – as we try our first week of menu planning!

Woohoo! Sounds like a great menu! You will love menu planning, it really is a “sanity saver”. Something that takes about 30-45 minutes on day saves about 5hrs worth of time during the week.

    Have a great week!

I’m impressed you are doing breakfast! We are “every man/woman/child for him/herself” for that meal. Pretty much the same with lunch. For dinner, I am trying out five new recipes from my new recipe book. Wish me luck! Good luck with your planning!!!
