Book Review ~ We Gather Together

Photobucket

I was given the privilege of reviewing We Gather Together, Sanity and Celebration at Thanksgiving by Hal & Melanie Young over at Raising Real Men. This is a 66-page ebook and these are my thoughts…

“WOW! What a neat ebook covering a wide variety of Thanksgiving topics. I love the fact that it is Christian based…talking about how the pilgrams came to America so they could practice their own religion. I love all the historical stories and hymns. And then we get to the really wonderful part (not that the rest wasn’t already amazing!)…the Thanksgiving Day recipes…AMAZING! First, I very much appreciated your first paragraph, telling me – the inexperienced cook – that it will be okay…THANK YOU! Then the recipes are for amazing homecooked items with the ingredients, a shopping list and a to-do list. This is a wonderful “all-around” Thanksgiving item...one that the entire family will benefit from.”

There are about 15 pages on History and Literature, 5 pages on hymns and 15 pages on the Thanksgiving meal ~ it really is an informative and enjoyable book.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this ebook free from the Young’s. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This sounds wonderful! I didn’t know the Young’s had a book out about Thankgiving. I really have enjoyed their “Raising Real Men” book and am looking forward to their upcoming release of the book on marriage. I will have to look into this one. Thanks so much for posting about it!

    Many blessings,
    Lisa
