5-Minute Friday = GRASP

This meme is hosted by The Gypsy Mama…go check it out, and join in if you’d like!
What is it? (Besides FUN!) She gives you a word and you type for 5 minutes non-stop
not worrying about grammar or punctuation.

Today’s word is: GRASP

GO

There is so much going on in our lives right now that I am really trying to grasp. The one thing I am trying to REALLY grasp is the Lord as He will be my rock through this time of our lives.

Grasp gives me the feeling of desperation, of not necessarily something good. I wonder if it could mean something in a good way? Not sure. I guess it could – something like “I am trying to grasp being a homemaker, wife, mother, teacher.” Those are all good things but things I don’t grasp. Ha ha ha.

I am hoping to “grasp” a pair of new tennis shoes for our youngest son today. (Not sure that is proper English there but I’m stretching, ok?) He has been inĀ sandalsĀ and flip flops all summer and has grown enough that he needs new shoes! I have a couple other things to do “in town” (as it is a 30-minute drive to Walmart) so we’ll go this morning before work this afternoon. He will be excited.

STOP

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Your thoughts on “grasp” made me laugh! Thank you for that. Hope you have a fun day and that you will be able to grab a hold of all of these things that you are grasping for!

Oh, Dawn, I am a retired homeschool mom. Sometimes it was just too much to grasp!

Shoes are on our agenda for next weekend! They always seem to be growing, right?!

Something hides within the five letter word G R A S P that you certainly would not want to grasp. It is an asp! LOL. When I was homeschooling my son and teaching him spelling I told him there is a pie in the word piece. This reminded me of that.

    Blessings, Janice

I enjoyed reading this, and can totally relate. My son seemed to grow out of both his shoes and his long sleeve shirts over the summer! The one thought I’ve had today after reading a few of the FMF blogs, was “What if I tried to grasp my Savior with the same desperation I’ve tried grasping other things in life?” Just a thought. Enjoyed reading your blog.
