Book Review & Giveaway ~ Moonfinder by Jay Ryan

Photobucket

Moonfinder
Author: Jay Ryan
Hardback, 32 pages
Retail $15.00

I had the pleasure of reviewing a really neat book about the moon and it’s stages by Jay Ryan called Moonfinder. You might recognize the author name as he is the same one that produces the Celestial Almanac we love so much! Well, Moonfinder is a picture book geared toward younger kids but is definitely a book the entire family will enjoy! It is the story of a father and his son and the phases of the moon and how it looks during the month, and what it is doing. It is very educational, but yet a very enjoyable read!

Here is an example of some of the amazing pictures in the book – which Jay did as well! This book took over ten years to get published and the paintings were done over a two year span. This book truly is amazing, in more ways that one!

I know even I enjoyed reading this book and learning all it has to share. It is a book I would highly recommend to others. So, now you can run off to buy your own copy HERE or you can enter my giveaway below.

Product Review & Giveaway ~ DaySpring Tote Bag

We’ve all heard of DaySpring, right? Well, did you know they have more than cards? LOTS more than cards! I was blessed with the opportunity to do a tote bag review and all I can say is I AM *VERY* IMPRESSED! I’ve been thinking over the last several months that I needed a new “Bible bag” (what I carry my Bible and the many other things I take to meeting each week) because my other one was getting pretty raggity looking. And, so, the Lord provided a new “Bible bag” through this review. My DaySpring Tote Bag is now my “Bible bag” and I LOVE IT! It is not only beautiful to look at but VERY FUNCTIONAL in the fact that it is big enough to hold all the items I need (plus some!).

I actually have used it several times for other things too – once as a swimming bag and another to carry all the library books back to the library. And both times this thing held up to the task and looked amazing doing it! Here is a picture of my tote bag:

And here is a picture of the amazing bag I get to offer to one of my readers! These bags are HUGE (14 x 18) and this one will be especially good for swimming items, in my opinion. If you can’t wait to get one for yourself, you can buy one for $16.99 HERE. Otherwise enter my giveaway below.

Cultivation Generation is a ministry out of the Vineyard movement that is focused on empowering, envisioning and sending out the next generation of the Church. We wish to see young people all over the world come into their destiny as children of God and ambassadors of His Kingdom. We desire to radically pursue God’s presence as well as make His presence known to the world through evangelism, signs and wonders, and acts of justice. We believe true worship is an act of offering one’s whole life for the cause of God’s Kingdom and His purposes.

Management Monday ~ 6/18/12

Management Monday is starting again! I’ve weighed myself this morning but don’t have the proper type of measuring tape so haven’t measured. Hope to get one so I can start.

I lost 2 lbs last week, which actually seems small as often times I’ll loose more – water weight ya know. BUT that’s ok. It’s better than not loosing anything, right? So, my plans for this week – for the next several weeks – is to simply continue the changes I’ve already made…I am working on a habit change and want to make sure it sticks.

So…decaf coffee, one diet soda and one dessert a day. These are my plans for this week. What are your plans?
